Carla joined Moore Ingram Johnson & Steele in 2009 and is currently a member of the firm’s Litigation Department. She practices primarily in the area of Workers’ Compensation defense, out of the firm’s first Florida office, located in Jacksonville.
Born in Tallahassee, Florida on May 30, 1974, Carla received her undergraduate degree in English, with a minor in Criminology, from Florida State University in 1996. While at Florida State, Carla was a member of the Phi Mu sorority, and also played in the Marching Chiefs’ drumline for four years. Following her graduation from FSU, Carla went on to receive her J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2000. She was admitted to the Florida Bar that same year. Carla began her legal career as an attorney for other prominent Florida insurance defense firms, before making her home at Moore Ingram Johnson & Steele, where she continues to devote her practice to defending workers’ compensation claims in Florida. Carla is a member of the Jacksonville Bar Association, Workers’ Compensation Section, and the local Jacksonville Chapter of the Friends of 440.
Carla lives in Jacksonville with her two young sons and enjoys spending time with her children, and family and friends, as well as traveling to Tallahassee to see the Seminoles play.
