Calanit joined Moore Ingram Johnson & Steele in 2009 as a member of the firm's Litigation Department.  Her practice focuses in the area of Workers' Compensation Defense.

Calanit was raised in Israel and moved to the United States was she was about 7 years old.  She has lived in Maryland, Ohio, Colorado, Indiana, Virginia, Washington DC and has settled in Georgia for the past 8 years.  Calanit received her undergraduate degree in Sociology from the University of Colorado in 1992 and then worked for a few years in Washington DC, before heading to law school at Indiana University, Bloomington, where she received her J.D. in 2001.     Before joining MIJS, Calanit worked for about 6 years at Carlock, Copeland and Stair and also ran the Kool Kidz Foundation, as its Executive Director.    

Calanit lives in Smyrna, GA, with her husband and two children, ages 4 and 2.  In her spare time she enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, reading and being outdoors!
