Dolph joined Moore Ingram Johnson & Steele in 2011 as a partner in the Corporate, Tax and Estate Planning Departments. Dolph received his undergraduate degree in business from Duke University in 1981 where he graduated magna cum laude and his law degree from the University of North Carolina in 1984.

 

His practice specialties include significant experience with mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. Dolph has also worked on environmental issues, healthcare law and transactions, permitting with environmental agencies, franchise transactions, antitrust issues, real estate, REITs, Brownfield development projects and “green” development projects. He has worked on several private placements of equity, debt and mezzanine capital transactions.

  

He also has developed a specialty in conservation easements including raising monies for the development thereof through strategic alliances, the private placement of security interests to derive the maximum tax benefits, and working with tax partner Matthew Howard, to allow Mr. Howard to provide investors the needed tax opinion for their conservation easement donation.

   

He has been an active speaker on business transactions over the years including at the National Waste and Recycling Expo, the International Biomass Conference and Corporate Finance  Symposiums and has also trained individual companies on antitrust compliance.    

 

Prior to joining Moore Ingram Johnson & Steele, Dolph was a partner in a law firm in downtown Atlanta. Dolph started his career in-house where he was an Associate General Counsel for Browning-Ferris Industries for 8 years and prior to that was the primary Corporate Finance attorney for Tenneco Inc. in Houston, Texas.

 

Dolph and his wife Judi, live in Atlanta, and have two children, Blair who attends Duke University and Cameron who is at Pace Academy. In his spare time, Dolph enjoys attending sporting events, working out, reading, collecting first edition books, going to the movies and spending time with his family.
