Melissa joined Moore Ingram Johnson & Steele in 2010, as a member of the firm’s litigation department. Her practice focuses in the area of Workers’ Compensation defense.

Born on November 1, 1975, Melissa was raised in Massachusetts. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Georgia in 1997, where she majored in political science, with a focus in philosophy. For six years, Melissa worked for an Atlanta-based company investigating product liability cases for defense firms. She obtained her law degree from St. John’s University in Jamaica, New York in 2007, where she was an editor of the St. John’s International Law Review. Melissa was admitted to the New York Bar in 2007 and practiced insurance defense in New York. She was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 2008 and before joining Moore Ingram Johnson & Steele, she worked for a Workers’ Compensation defense firm in downtown Atlanta. In her spare time Melissa volunteers for the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers’ Foundation and the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America.

Melissa lives in Atlanta and enjoys running, traveling and spending time with her husband and their black lab, Sammy.
