Steve
Steele joined Moore Ingram
Johnson & Steele in 1987 and is
a partner in the firm's Civil and
Criminal Department. Steve has extensive
trial experience in both civil and
criminal matters. He has litigated
a number of complex matters, including
franchise litigation, construction
litigation, complex and lengthy violent
and white collar crimes. At present,
most of Steve's work involves divorce,
property division, support, and custody
issues.
Steve
was born in Charlotte, North Carolina,
October 19, 1951. Following his graduation
from Emory University School of Law,
he was admitted to the State Bar of
Georgia in 1978. He was an Assistant
Solicitor in the State Court of Cobb
County from 1978 through 1980. He
later served as an Assistant District
Attorney in the Cobb Judicial Circuit
from 1986 to 1987. Steve teaches Paralegal
Civil Litigation in the continuing
education program at Kennesaw State
University. He serves on the Executive Committee of the Charles Longstreet Weltner Family Law Inn of Court.
Steve
and his wife Nancy have two sons,
Matthew and John Paul. |

Fellow, American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers
Served as Chairman of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia 2005-2006. During that term, Steve served on 3 out of 5 legislative subcommittees and study groups to help implement the newly enacted Child Support Guidelines which became effective on 1/1/2007. The Family Law Section was recognized as Section of the Year during his term.
Recognized by colleagues as one of Georgia’s “Super Lawyers”, as published in Atlanta Magazine.
President of the Charles Longstreet Weltner Family Law Inn of Court.
Named as a Super Lawyer by Atlanta Magazine, 2007 through 2012.
