Abriana B. Horton joined Moore Ingram Johnson & Steele, LLP in March 2021 as an associate in the Firm’s Taxation Department in the Marietta office. Abriana’s practice is primarily focused on advising businesses and business owners through capital raises, acquiring and selling businesses, tax-efficient capital restructuring, and reorganization and corporate formations. Abriana also represents businesses and individuals in disputes against the Internal Revenue Service and various state Departments of Revenue.
Abriana is admitted to practice in Georgia’s State and Superior Courts, the Court of Appeals of Georgia, the Supreme Court of Georgia, and the United States Tax Court.
Abriana was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in June 2020. Abriana received her Master of Laws Degree (LL.M.) in Taxation from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law, her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Mercer University School of Law, and her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Agnes Scott College, with a minor in mathematics.
During law school, Abriana was selected to become a member of the Mercer Law Review and she obtained a Certificate in Advanced Legal Research, Writing, and Drafting. Thereafter, Abriana served as an Editor of the Florida Tax Review while pursuing her LL.M. in Taxation.
Prior to joining Moore Ingram Johnson & Steele, LLP, Abriana worked as a Tax Associate for one of the largest accounting firms in the country, specializing in Mergers and Acquisitions.
Outside of the office, Abriana enjoys hiking, traveling, attending church & community events, spending time with family & friends, and is an avid basketball fan.
