Chris Brooks joined Moore Ingram Johnson & Steele in 2014 as an associate attorney in the Brentwood office. His current areas of practice include Litigation, General Liability, Insurance Defense, Workers’ Compensation, and Subrogation.
Born in Huntsville, Alabama, and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, Chris graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He moved to Knoxville to attend the University of Tennessee College of Law. While in law school, Chris served as the Executive Editor of the Tennessee Law Review, during which time he was awarded with the Top Second-Year Editor Award and the Silver Pen for Exemplary Case Note. He also received the Distinguished Student Attorney Award for his work in UT’s nationally ranked Advocacy Clinic and was recognized with the law school’s Pro Bono Service Award. Prior to joining Moore Ingram Johnson & Steele, Chris served as a law clerk for multiple divisions of the Office of the Tennessee Attorney General.
Chris is admitted to the Tennessee Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee. He is also a member of the American Bar Association and the Tennessee Bar Association.
Chris lives in Nashville and enjoys film, Nashville Predators hockey, food and drink, and spending time with his family and friends.
