Dara Reed is an associate working primarily in the Jacksonville, Florida office. She is currently practicing primarily in the area of Workers’ Compensation Defense.
Born and raised in East Tennessee, Dara obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Maryville College in International Studies and Political Science and graduated cum laude. Dara the moved to Jacksonville, Florida and obtained her Juris Doctorate in 2016 from Florida Coastal School of Law where she graduated magna cum laude. While at Florida Coastal, Ms. Reed was Executive Editor of the Florida Coastal Law Review and a member of the Moot Court Honor Board.
While participating in Moot Court Dara won Best Brief awards at the Emory Law Civil Rights and Liberties Moot Court Competition and the August A. Rendigs National Products Liability Moot Court Competition. Additionally, while at Florida Coastal Ms. Reed was on the Dean’s List and received Book Awards in Family Law and Property Law.
Prior to joining Moore, Ingram, Johnson, & Steele, Dara worked at a prominent Florida defense firm where she practiced primarily insured defense primarily in the areas of automobile accidents, slip/trip and falls, and insurance bad faith litigation. Dara also has experience in title insurance, product liability defense, commercial and warranty law, business disputes, personal injury, aviation law, and maritime law. Dara was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2016 and admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 2018.
She is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association, the Knoxville Bar Association, and the Jacksonville Bar Association. Dara lives in Knoxville and enjoys Crossfit, reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband and family.
