Matthew Morris joined Moore Ingram Johnson & Steele in 2020 as an associate in the firm’s Knoxville office. He is a member of the Civil Litigation department with a concentration in workers’ compensation and insurance defense.
Matthew is a Nashville native. He graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2017 where he received his B.A. in Political Science and Economics. He received his J.D. from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in 2020. While in law school, he was the Managing Editor of the Journal of Health Care Law & Policy, worked as a clinical student in the Civil Rights of Persons with Disabilities Clinic, and competed nationally with the school’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Team. He earned the Joseph Bernstein Prize for Writing for his published case note and received the Law and Health Care Certificate from the school’s Law & Health Care Program.
Matthew currently lives in Knoxville, and in his free time he enjoys listening to live music, supporting the Tennessee Volunteers, and spending time with his friends and family.
