J. Alexander Short, Esq., “Alex”, joined Moore Ingram Johnson & Steele in 2021 and is currently a member of the firm’s litigation department. His practice is focused in Commercial Litigation and Worker’s Compensation Defense.
Alex earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and his law degree from Penn State’s Dickinson Law. Prior to Joining Moore Ingram, Johnson & Steele, Alex served as an Assistant District Attorney in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania where he handled misdemeanor and felony cases while specializing with the Treatment Court Program.
Alex has criminal and appellate experience representing the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in hearings before the Court of Common Pleas, at oral argument in front of the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court, and in appellate briefs to the Pennsylvania Superior Court, Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court, and Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Alex is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
While not practicing law, Alex enjoys baseball, horror movies, and spending time with his friends and family. He is also a member of the PA Bar Association and Cumberland County Bar Association.
