A Great Place to Work

America’s Greatest Places to Work with a Law Degree
by Kimm Alayne Walton, J. D.:

“The best thing about this place is that you have the nest. If you fall out of it, they pick you up. When you start out, you make stupid mistakes, but nobody browbeats you – they know you’ll stumble as a new associate, and they know you’ll learn and do it perfectly next time. I’m just tickled to be here.”

Associates are normally hired into their specialties. As much as possible, the firm tries to hire from its second year law clerks, who have had an opportunity to rotate through the various departments of the firm and determine what they want to do. Associates can switch specialties if the firm has a need in another area and the associate has skills that would be of benefit in that area.

PRO BONO…

The firm encourages all attorneys to become members of the Cobb Justice Foundation, which the local bar association uses to provide pro bono legal assistance to the community. As a member of the Cobb Justice Foundation, each member agrees to make a monetary contribution, or agrees to accept 2 pro bono cases per year in their specialty. These cases are screened by the Foundation to determine need and are then referred to the attorney.
