Marilyn is an Associate Attorney in the MIJS Civil and Commercial Litigation Department, where she represents businesses and insurers in a broad range of civil litigation matters. She manages cases from pre-suit evaluation through discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation, positioning clients for efficient, strategic resolutions. A Florida native, Marilyn moved to Marietta, Georgia, during high school and earned her B.S. in Psychology from Kennesaw State University.
Marilyn received her J.D., cum laude, from Mercer University School of Law, where she earned the Faculty Award for Outstanding Achievement in Legal Writing and a CALI Award in Managing Law Practice. She was also an active member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society and the Association of Women Law Students. While in law school, Marilyn gained experience in both in-house and private practice settings, serving as a corporate counsel extern with The Home Depot, interning with a remote employment law firm based in San Diego, and working at MIJS as a summer associate while rotating through multiple practice groups. She is admitted to practice law in Georgia and Florida.
Marilyn resides in Kennesaw with her husband, Jacob, their daughter, Kenzie, and two cats, Toast and Ghost. Outside of work, she enjoys trying new restaurants, traveling, and cheering on Atlanta sports teams.
