Marina D. Thelen is an actively licensed attorney in Texas and in Georgia. She is currently a trial attorney in the Litigation Department of Moore Ingram Johnson & Steele.

Marina graduated Southern Methodist University in less than four years with a double major in Political Science and International Relations with a minor in Russian Area Studies. She spent a summer on the London trading floor through a Boston University internship program before obtaining her Juris Doctor from Tulane University School of Law where she was a member of the Journal of International and Comparative Law.

In Texas, Marina was an Assistant County Attorney in Austin for five Justice of the Peace Precincts where she participated in bench and jury trials and represented the State in competency hearings. She then went on to work for several big Dallas law firms in intellectual property protection, oil and gas, and complex commercial litigation. She gained experience in topics related to intellectual property rights, software technology development, theft of trade secrets, misappropriation of business concepts, breach of non-compete and tortious interference for several high-tech industry leaders. Marina was admitted to practice law in Georgia in 2024 and joined MIJS as a member of the litigation department.

In her free time, Marina enjoys mid-century modern design and architecture, travelling, hot yoga and spending time with her family and dogs.
