On Friday December 1st, Austin Gillis assisted in a Mock Trial at the Superior Court of Cobb County. Holly Goodwin from the Law Library contacted him to participate in a Mock Trial staged for elementary school kids, and he had a blast! There were 150 fifth graders from Brumby Elementary in Judge Kell’s courtroom, presenting evidence and argument in the shoplifting trial of State v. Jamie Joyride. The kids had a great time and learned a lot about what attorneys do and how our justice system works. Judge Kell did an amazing job presenting to all of the kids. Austin was thrilled to participate, and can’t wait to do it again.
